The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps keep families safe and healthy through initiatives that assist families with energy costs. We provide federally funded assistance in managing costs associated with:

  1. Before starting an application, please read all steps thoroughly in order to prevent your application from being denied
  2. Thoroughly Complete ALL 7 steps of application – Add ALL FAMILY MEMBERS – (Failure to do this will delay the
    processing of your application)
  3. Be sure to gather all required documents and be ready to upload them via the website or to send to the case manager when requested

NOTE: An application submission is not a guarantee of service.  

** CFCAA makes payment directly to the utility companies themselves.**

NOTE: If you are elderly, have a learning disability, and/or your household does not have internet access, you can obtain an appointment by calling your local Central Florida Community Action Agency office.

Application for Service 

Applications will be reviewed in the order that they are received.  Currently, the turnaround time is up to 30 business days and status will be unavailable during the pre-review stage of the process.  Weekends or holidays are not included in the date count.
